Phone Recorders Conversation Telephone Recorders

Phone recorders can be used in a variety of situations for recording the telephone. The only difficulties are when you have a VOIP phone line, a DSL internet connection or a cable line phone system. These are considered digital lines. Many telephone recorders will not work on these tyeps of lines. There a limited number of phone recorders for DSL , they are tape cassette based. Tape recorders are usually used for multiple line phone systems as well.

Digital phone recorders can be used on most any standard line NOT on VOIP, DSL or Cable lines. Regular analog lines can be recorded and in most cases saved to a computer file for use to dictate or archive. PC Phone Recorders record the files directly into the PC.

A phone recorder can be used for several different purposes. Many are used for note taking and recall of facts. The most popular is for customer service and training. We have all heard the warning that lets us know that our call may be recorded or monitored for customer service and training. As it is likely illegal to record someone without their consent this type of thing is heard more and more.

Most phone recorders hook to the wall jack with a splitter then will record all of the calls on that line ( the same phone Number) you could have every call to that number recorded automatically. Some recorders hook to the handset cord ( the cord between the phone and the handset) and record Only that phone. There are several choices of a recorder for your phone and several options you should consider.

Voice activation also known as VOX VAR VOR there are many different titles it goes by but you will want this feature to keep you from have large portions of non voice recordings.

You will also want a device that is capable of using both battery and plug in power. This way you will be able to use it for long periods of time without returning to change the batteries every 10 hours.

You may want to chose a phone recorder that will work as a voice recorder as well. You can then leave it in a room to record what is said when you are not there.

You also have a choice of digital and Analog ( tape based).
